Chateau de Challain
Urban Cinematography filmed an Inspirational shoot at the beautiful Chateau and highlighted the new collection of Dresses from the International Couture Wedding Dress Designer Yemi Osunkoya and his brand Kosibah. The Shoot was orchestrated by Seyi Olusunya of "Once Upon a Destination" Luxury lifestyle Management and Events.
In the 19th century, the Count and the Countess of La Rochefoucauld-Bayers constructed on their La Potherie Estate, a new grand castle in the neogothic style. They chose a very famous architect from Paris, Louis Visconti, famous for designing the Louvre extension. They asked him to design the new Chateau to replace the one built in the 16th century and asked Rene Hode, a famous architect from Angers, to build the castle. The construction began in 1848 and was finished in 1854. The design was a classic arrangement of a rectangle base with four towers, 60 meters long and 47 meters high with 120 rooms on 5 levels and an abundance of limestone sculptures made by Jacques Granneau, student of David D'Angers.
Cynthia Nicholson and her lovely team made our stay exceptional, the Chateau is situated in the Western Loire Valley on the outskirts of a small Pretty French Village called Potherie. The Chateau is the home of Cynthia and her family which makes the Chateau a warm and homely experience, it is set within 75 acres of Woodland, lakes and rolling meadows.
Weddings at the Chateau are a very intimate affair, as it can be used exclusively and can accommodate up to 35 overnight guests. The rooms are all individually decorated in the period of the Chateau and also boasts a Royal Suite. The Inspirational Wedding Cinematography was filmed by Apos Goris who as you can see from the photo below got into the mood of the Chateau and dressed for the occasion :)
